At Netier, we know that technology and wellbeing go hand in hand. While our team spends a lot of time solving complex IT challenges and supporting clients across Australia, we also prioritise the health and connection of our own people. This Women’s Health Week, we came together for activities, from a fitness session to company-wide training, all designed to celebrate health, foster team connection, and make a positive impact in the community.
Kickoff: Walk & Coffee with a Buddy
We kicked off Women’s Health Week by encouraging the team to grab a buddy, pick up a coffee or beverage (on us for the day!), and head out for a walk around the block or nearby the office. Team members joined at times that suited them, making it a flexible and inclusive start to the week.

Psychology of Fitness Presentation
As part of the week, we hosted a presentation on the Psychology of Fitness, exploring the mental aspects of motivation, self-acceptance, and overcoming barriers, skills just as useful in life as they are in technology projects. Held across boardrooms and open to remote team members via dial-in, the session offered practical tips for maintaining a healthy work-life balance while thriving in a fast-paced tech environment.
Team Pilates Class
On Wednesday, our team joined a Pilates class at Eighty8 in Brindabella Business Park, focusing on movement, flexibility, and physical wellbeing. For a team that often spends hours at screens, it was a welcome chance to stretch, recharge, and move together. The session was such a hit that some of our team members are keen to make it a weekly ritual every Wednesday.

Paint Splatter Studio
To close out Women’s Health Week, our team swapped keyboards for paintbrushes and headed to Spash Lab Canberra. Armed with canvases, paint, brushes, goggles, ponchos, and slip-on shoes, we were ready for some colourful chaos.
The session was all about letting go – splashing paint, experimenting with colour, and enjoying a creative outlet together. Laughter filled the studio as everyone compared their “masterpieces” (and their paint-covered ponchos). It was the perfect way to wrap up the week: a reminder that stepping away from screens to connect, recharge, and have fun is just as important as the work we do every day.
