Harry Bates Wins on Canberra Home Soil

Approx. Reading Time: < 1 minute

Harry Bates has won on his home soil at The National Capital Rally in Canberra. He finished the 8 stages on Saturday with a 16 second lead before extending that on Sunday to finish the rally over a minute ahead of the field. His time would have placed him fourth in the international field. Along the way Harry won seven of the 13 stages which meant he collected the maximum 81 points and now sits on top of the standings by 3 points with two rounds remaining.

Netier was a supporting partner of the 2017 National Capital Rally which was the 3rd round of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship. The event ran for a week and relied on over 200 volunteers who got up early, went to bed late and survived the winter weather in the forests surrounding Canberra to make sure that the event ran smoothly.

The championship moves to the Barossa Valley in South Australia from 15 – 17 September for the Lightforce Rally SA which is round four of the CAMS Australian Rally Championship.
