My journey at Netier began after COVID, when everyone questioned their purpose. At that point, I didn’t really know what was out there, having only ever worked in administration roles. I put myself out there on the LinkedIn world (which is unfamiliar to me). I was contacted by a recruiter who put me in touch with Jess, my current HR manager at Netier. Instantly welcomed for who I was and my experiences, although not HR derived, Netier saw something within me that I couldn’t see. From that first interaction to every single one since, and from everyone in the business, I have felt incredibly welcome and supported.
What drew you to Netier, and how has it shaped your growth
The passion of the people and total embrace is what drew me to Netier. We spend a lot of our time at work, so why would you want that time to be anything less than a place that feels like home and makes you excited to go to work each day? It has helped shape my growth into what I was organically meant to be doing. Helping people. I have always supported people in my life, and my career has been roles of support. It has only cemented me further into what feels natural.
How do your personal passions align with your work at Netier?
Personally, I love helping and talking with people. I appreciate that there are many walks of life, and everyone has a story. In my HR role, being understanding and supportive is every day, building these trusting relationships with colleagues is something I find rewarding, as well as aligning with Netier.
What has been your most fulfilling experience at Netier?
The ACT Healthier Work initiative has been nothing like I have ever experienced in a workplace. Using strategies for good work design and support, each month of the year is carefully planned. Focusing on many aspects from a safe workplace, mental health/psychological safety, fitness, and wellness, all while keeping it enjoyable and fun for everyone at Netier. As I previously mentioned, spending a lot of time at work, it is important to find ways to improve people’s quality of life and wellbeing. I feel privileged that I can facilitate this.
How has your role allowed you to grow?
My role in People & Culture has allowed me to grow both professionally and personally in meaningful ways. It has strengthened my ability to navigate complex interpersonal relationships, lead sensitive conversations with empathy, and develop strategies to support individual well-being and Netier’s goals. I’ve gained deeper insight into workplace culture, environments where people feel valued and empowered to perform at their best. It’s also pushed me to become more adaptable, resilient, I am forever learning in my role, which is something Netier encourage.
What makes the culture at Netier unique?
The unique culture of Netier is something I didn’t realise could exist in a workplace. There’s a strong sense of unity, no matter your role or the team. Everyone is ready to collaborate to achieve the best outcomes for each other, our business, and our clients. That collective mindset is what makes Netier one of the best workplaces to work. There’s something especially rewarding about coming together, and as a culture-first company, it is not something that many other workplaces share.
Why should someone consider joining Netier?
Personally, if you want to be a part of a work environment that is immensely supportive, showing a team-oriented culture that genuinely values professional growth, where wellbeing is prioritised, where your ideas are heard and you feel your contributions matter, then Netier could be for you. Going to work where people are connected, driven and proud of the work they do feels like a massive win in life.
